IP and Hybrid Recording in the Same System

The growth of Voice-over-IP (VoIP) transmissions represents one of the most important trends in the communications industry today. As confirmed by recent surveys, organizations of all sizes and types are either investigating or implementing VoIP technology. This comes as no surprise, given the benefits delivered by the convergence of voice and data infrastructures.

For new operations, adopting IP telephony is a very straightforward process. However, companies must consider their investment in existing infrastructure, and plan a transition with traditional and IP technologies coexisting. ASC’s solutions fulfill these requirements by allowing both pure IP and hybrid recording for TDM and IP phones in the same system.

 

  • ASC’s VoIP recording solution with EVOip is entirely software based without any need for proprietary hardware and may be installed on an “off-the-shelf“ server provided by the customer. The calls are recorded directly from the IP network, saved on a hard disk and archived, if necessary.
  • Specific integrated solutions for EVOip are available for major IP vendors.
  • EVOip is available for both Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • ASC’s VoIP recording solution comprises EVOip and EVOip active as passive and active components.
  • EVOip, a passive VoIP recording solution, monitors the audio packets on the LAN. It may be used in nearly every customer environment and supports virtually all IP vendors. Bomb Threat Recording System

AS 500 DR

Directly connected to the telephone line, the AS 500 DR Bomb Threat Recording

System allows permanent documentation of threatening calls. All inbound and

outbound calls including the time and date information are directly stored on the

digital ring memory of the DS 4.

Once a call is recognized by the operator as conveying a threatening message, it is

locked and copied onto cassette. Thus the recording can be replayed on any commercial

cassette recorder. Even during replay operations the DS 4 continues to record

incoming calls so that no calls are being lost. Less important calls will be overwritten

automatically to provide personal data protection.

At only the push of a button

For permanent documentation of a threatening call onto the recorder AN 2 simply

the push of a single button is required. The button can be pressed at any time during

the call prompting transfer of a copy of the complete call onto an ordinary compact

cassette in the AN 2. The Time-Code System AN 2 TI integrated into the AN 2 marks

the copy being transferred with the time and date stamping of the call, thus securing

the precise time designation of every recorded call.

Expandable system

The Bomb Threat Recording System AS 500 DR consists of one DS 4 digital recorder

for each operator (max. 15 positions) plus a single analogue AN 2 cassette recorder

with the integrated Time-Code System AN 2 TI. The logic system of the TAD-BUSLAN

manages the trouble free copying even if several calls from a number of DS 4’s needs to be copied simultaneously.

The COMGUARD Single IP has been designed to handle the requirements of single channel applications that require a fully functional cost-effective solution.

Compact multi purpose system

The COMGUARD Single IP is a compact single channel digital recorder that fits almost anywhere. Connected to the analog interface of any analog or digital telephone set,

any call can be easily recorded automatically or manually triggered. Playback of recorded communication can be performed via the integrated speaker or headset. The versatile system may also be used for note taking, as a dictation unit or telephone answering machine.

Internet, via the IP port. This allows that recordings in the call recorder can be transferred quickly and easily to a central server for archiving and backup. Because the COMGUARD Single IP effectively works as a FTP device, recordings can also be transferred via the Internet or via a router and dialup connection. A PC can then archive all recordings centrally and conveniently with the software available as an option. The fact that the call recorder operates independently of a PC, yet is easily connected to it, it offers the user the high reliability needed for recording

important calls.
