HOW TO BUILD AN ANALOG VOICE LOGGER SYSTEM

Building your own analog voice logging system is not as difficult as you might think. By utilizing your own PC and purchasing the needed PCI cards you can save thousands of dollars and have a system to record your phone conversations.

The other advantage of building your own voice recorder is if you want to upgrade your software or change your server to a newer model, you simply remove the PCI card(s) and download the free software included with the cards and you have a modern system.

There is another advantage to building your own voice logging system, self maintenance.

The component that usually breaks on other phone recording systems is the Server, by using your own server you can easily switch PC's and be up and running in minutes instead of waiting for the service man to come to your office diagnose the problem and repair it.

Installation is simple:

Open the cover of the server
Plug in the PCI card into any available PCI slot
Load the software (I have found software that makes this as easy as installing a sound card)
You are done (you have to have analog connections to the phones or trunks you wish to record but you need to do that no matter what system you use.)

The cost for the cards is eight channels $495.00, 16 channels $995.00. The model number of the cards are:

AB 800 eight channel analog PCI card
AB 1600 16 channel analog PCI card

You can have up to 32 voice recording channels on one server, (4 eight channel cards, two 16 channel cards)
